Our life together is rooted in three core beliefs:
We are made by God for relationship with Him
We are sent, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to live missionally
We are called to operate as family
Along with our values, our community upholds a rhythm of practices that the Church regards as essential to a life of following Christ:
Prayer is central to who we are as a church, shaping our life together as a community. Speaking with and listening to God is how we understand ourselves and Jesus’ heart for the world. We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active in our lives—a person we can encounter and know in a place of prayer.
Worship begins with God. It’s our natural response to the Father's love for us. God’s people have always sung and we encourage all kinds of creativity in our love for him. We worship to know him more and to express gratitude for who he is and all he has given us.
We believe that Jesus will change the world through the church. As followers of Jesus, we seek to embody his life, spirituality, and mission. Rooted in him, we are called to participate in all he is doing while also extending an invitation for others to join God’s community.
The Bible is a gift from God to his people; the story of his relationship with us and creation. The Church is called to immerse itself in this story, to meditate on it and— with his leading—interpret it. We value the power of the Scriptures to speak into our lives and believe continued study of God’s word is central to our journey as the Church.
