At Saint Catherine’s Church, we believe that every child can learn to be a follower of Jesus, whatever their age. Saint Catherine’s Children’s Ministry aims to provide the space and resources for children to learn how to live and love like Jesus. We encourage them to build a personal relationship with God as we show them living examples of faith. All this is done within a welcoming, loving, accepting, and fun atmosphere!
Our children’s groups meet after worship on Sundays. Families are asked to sign their children in with group leaders. Our two youngest groups, Fireflies and Sparklers, meet upstairs in the pink and orange classrooms. Our older groups, Aglow and Blaze, gather at the back of the church and then head to the Family Resource Centre on School Street, just a two-minute walk from church. Any new or visiting parents are very welcome to accompany their children to the Resource Centre to see where it is and what we get up to while we’re there.

We believe that true community, where we function like an extended family, is rooted in God’s character and acts as an essential building block for the church. In Connect Groups, we aim to live as disciples, learning together how to become more like Jesus as we share His love with others. Find the Connect Group nearest you and join in!

Mainly Music is a fun group for parents or primary care givers to enjoy together with their children. At our gatherings, kids are introduced to music and creativity. Families who attend are also invited to think about what God means to them.
We meet Tuesday mornings at 10:30am during the school year for 30-40 minutes of music and movement. Afterwards, we offer juice, biscuits, and toys for the children, while adults enjoy tea, coffee, cake, and a chance to chat.
